In Home Childcare
According to the Harvard University Center on the Developing Child:
“Even infants and young children are affected adversely when significant stresses threaten their family and caregiving environment.”
That’s why there are programs in place to protect and nurture the youngest and most vulnerable members of the Australian population.
Funded by the Australian government for eligible families, In-Home Childcare is a flexible form of education which is tailored to the needs of children on a case-by-case basis.
Care is available for children who have been identified as at risk for a variety of reasons. Every situation is unique. The need for assistance may stem from a child, a parent or guardian, and it may be for a combination of physical, mental and social factors. To ensure quality outcomes for these special children, In-Home Childcare is monitored and supported by an approved Service Provider.
With the Australian Government offering Fully-Funded In-Home Childcare services for families who meet the eligibility criteria, the demand for professionals in this sector is higher than ever. Services include up to 161 hours per week in the home, as well as before and/or after school care.
The role of the Carer is obviously crucial and it is integral to have the right person matched to each child. That person is in the home to educate, engage and promote positive behaviours.
